How to survive 8th grade

(´;︵;`)/ - Hello...

Well, today is probably my last blog post and almost my last day of 8th grade.

So instead of sulking here on this post I am going to tell you some tips (8 to be exact) on how to survive 8th grade. So instead of making a paragraph here's an easy to read list.

1. Make yourself a close group of friends. You will need them in the long run.

2. Don't be "that guy." You may think that acting cool will make you friends but it won't always... You may even lose friends.

3. Make friends with your teachers. You may think this sounds dumb but it might help you out later (Especially if you have a big English paper coming up).

4. Always get to class on time. There will be some teachers that will not like you if you are late.

5. Don't be sad to go to school (Except for Mondays). If you have a positive outlook of school then you will have fun.

6. Ask for help when you need it... I messed up when it comes to this at sometimes.

7. Inspire your other classmates. If they are stuck when it comes to ideas help them out by throwing out ideas.

8. Know how to make some memes when you are having fun... Just trust me, you will want to do this.

Be a VERY inspirational person every day of your life... SO BYEEEEEE!

"The Erne From The Coast" by T. O. Beachcroft

The story is about a boy named Harry who is thirteen years old. One day while watching the sheep one is carried off by an eagle. He then waits for the eagle to come back to take another sheep so he could attack the eagle. He brings the eagle back to his house and his brother then says that it is not an eagle but an erne.

The main character, Harry, is transformed majorly by the end of the story. When he decides to attack the bird he becomes very courageous. He does this because he wants to show his father that he is strong. What Harry did is something that most people can relate to in some way. I can relate to that. When I was little I tried to catch a lizard to show to my sister. When I finally caught it I put it into a container and handed it to my sister. She shook the lizard for a while and then she wanted to touch it. She then opened the container and the lizard scratched her and ran away. I then learned never to give my sister a little animal.

Family Relationship

o/ - Hello People of the Internet

In this book, I am currently reading called Night the main person, Elie Weisel, and his father are not very close, but by the end, they have a very close relationship. This is something that most people can relate to.

My parents and I have a pretty close relationship. My mom and I have a lot in common. We both like the same kind of food and we both have the same hair and eye color. My dad, on the other hand, doesn't like some of the same things as me. He likes to eat red meats a lot and I don't. I like to play games and he doesn't. There are many similarities and differences with your parents and it's not a bad thing.

I feel like over the years my relationship with my parents has changed a lot. With me getting a sister and us moving our relationship gets closer then becomes distant but in the end, we are still family. I feel like sometimes when I talk to my parents they sound stressed and they even say they are. So from what I hear from them being an adult is stressful.

INNOVATION! Yeah!

o/ - Hello Everyperson Reading This

Well, innovation is a broad subject but I want to focus on the innovation of the past. To me, the most important innovations of the past are the wheel and fire. The reason these are important are these are still used today. Well if you want to know what is even cooler than a wheel or fire. ITS A WHEEL ON FIRE!

Just look at how cool this is, but you need to remember that none of this would be possible without the cavemen doing random stuff to make wheels and fire.

Until next time (which I don't know when that will be) stay on this blog page and keep hitting refresh.

Transformation

o/ - Hi Guys

Well... Here I am again. Transformation? What does it mean to you? Personally, I think of transformers rather than changing things, buts that just me. To be honest, I really wish I was talking about transformers today, but I'm not. I'm talking about changing things. So, I really want to make a teleporter, but I don't have the stuff to make a prototype. In the meantime, I guess I'm going to have to do something small. So let's go through the list of things. Advancing scientific research, helping the poor, helping find the cure for diseases, help Mc. Donalds make real healthy food for once, etc. I want to go with the first one because I really want that teleporter. But realistically I would choose to help find the cure for life-threatening diseases. Well, I need to stop writing things or I would be rambling about teleportation and teleporters all day. So, see you guys in the next post.

“The Fog Horn” by Ray Bradbury

I am what most people call a monster, but I don’t consider myself one. I’m just a big lonely sea creature looking for a friend. One day I was just swimming around and I heard what sounded like someone calling for me. So I swam over to the noise and I found a beautiful creature just sitting on the shore. She was very tall and had big glowing red and white eyes. She just sat there, waiting for someone to find her. All she wanted was to make a friend, and apparently I was the person she wanted.

The journey to her is not too bad. It’s just a little dangerous with all the sharks and other things trying to attack me. Other than that it's an easy route to get to where she is at. It’s kind of ironic that she is at a place called Lonesome Bay, but somehow whenever I get close it feels like I’m at home. The waters are nice and cool and there is a light breeze. Most other sea creatures don’t dare get near the bay because the cool and murky waters throw off their sense of smell.

One day I was there talking to her and suddenly she just stopped talking. I asked if something was wrong but she never responded. I am a very short tempered sea creature. Because of that, I charged at her and hit her. She fell to the ground and shattered like she was made out of glass. I then left out of frustration. The next day I wanted to go back and apologize but I thought that she would never forgive me. Since that day, I vowed to never go back there and never make friends again.

RAFT Creative Writing

o/ - Hey Guys!

So... I'm going to explain what I will be writing about, because if I don't then you won't understand this at all.

Ok, so recently we just learned about the Gettysburg Address and the Civil War. Then we have to write a creative writing story thing about it. Well... I'm just wasting time so let's get into it. (I'm writing like I am General Lee's Horse)

Day 1

The General and I went into battle for the first time today, it was really bloody. He's really heavy but I have a plan to make him lose weight.

Day 2

The General and me just won our first battle. It was an amazing experience. He is also losing a little bit of weight too.

Day 10

The General strapped me to a pole and told me to stay. He left for about 2 hours. It was pretty lonely. There was the ocasional horse or two but they left pretty quick.

Day 24

I am writing this for the General but I want to give it to him after the war. It freaked me out because he almost found it this morning.

Day 37

I am starting to get tired of this war. Now all that happens is a bunch of shooting and death. I just want to go home. I'm also done with the journal.

Bystanders and Witnesses

Hey - o/

So recently I went to a holocaust museum and it was a lot to take in. One of the main things that I took in was the thought of being a witness or a bystander. So when WW2 started most of the world just sat around and witnessed the act of the holocaust. This was only until the other countries involved the rest of the world in the war. I would say more but the holocaust is a hard thing to talk about.

Sixty Acres

The protagonist Lee Waite in the short story Sixty Acres by Raymond Carver is faced with making two important decisions. The first is if he should report the the two hunters, which are kids, who are shooting animals on his property. He decides to let the kids go rather than reporting them to the police. The second is if he should lease some of his land to some of the duck hunting clubs. He contemplates this but never did answer.

The first shows that Lee is a kind man who cares more about people than the animals that they were hunting. The second shows that he is a man who will do something if it helps his family. Like Lee everyone has had to make hard decisions, even I have. One if the decisions that I had to make was wether to move to a new town or not. It meant that I had to leave my friends but I would live somewhere better. Well, I chose to move. Luckily I am only about 2 hours away from them so it is a lot easier to visit then you would think.

Time Capsule

o/ - Hi everyone!

So I like to think that you should never reminisce on the past but always dream of the future. So today I want to explain what I would put in a time capsule in the future for generations to come. So instead of writing out a long and boring paragraph that you might not read I'm going to do bullet points.

  • Childhood - For my childhood I would put lots of video game related things because for all of you who didn't know I absolutely love video games. Also for my childhood I would put all the Lord of the Rings/Hobbit games and movies because of the Lord of the Rings I met two of my best friends.

  • Heritage - I would put a giant half Italian and half American flag because I am half Italian and half American. The flag would look just like this picture.

  • Accomplishments - Well if my dreams come true then I would put at least 10 copies of the video game that I would have made by then so all of my grandchildren could play it.

  • Legacy - Well I would put things that resemble some great things that I have done because I have no idea of what great things that I will do.
So that is my time capsule. Hope you enjoyed. \o/ - BYE!
